Axle3d from CeBIT 2009

Axle3d from CeBIT 2009

Now I came to one interesting company – Axle3d. It’s company based in Hong Kong and like many others, they produce nVidia based graphic cards. Company logo as you can see on the picture is girl on motor-bike.

What I was surprised the most compared with year before, nVidia decided not to include all of it’s partner companies onto their list of partners. Why Axle3d partner was left of this, I don’t know. Since I had the chance to speak with some nice PR persons from Axle3d, they told me that they are quite popular and most of their market is in Asia. Glad to see that they’re trying to get to Europe market also, since they offer nVidia based cards which are 15-20% cheaper then competitors. I have to mention that they include two year warranty on their cards!

Now lets look at their exhibited products. They have plenty of solutions based on nVidia’s 9xxx cards, and soon they are going to start to produce 2xx nVidia based cards (it’s primarily nVidia’s decision when are they going to ship their chips to 2nd Tier manufacturers). You’ll notice immediately some quality and quiet cooling solutions on those cards from companies like Zerotherm and Arctic Cooling.

At the end just wanted to mention that they were one of rare companies at CeBIT 2009 which have organized everyday contest at 15:00. For all people that filled in their basic contact details, each day Axle3d gave away some nice prized. Everyday the main prize was Axle3d 9600GT graphic card, and other prizes were soccer ball, T-shirts, pens and mouse pads. The reason why I’m mention this is that Axle3d is rare company which decided to give a chance to daily visitors to win some nice hardware.

What has shocked me the most that at 15:00 there were like 150 people around Axle3d booth, just waiting and hoping to win 9600GT card like it’s made out of pure gold!

So at the end I was most surprised to see that Axle3d company doesn’t only have graphic cards, but also motherboards for Intel and AMD processors, and last but not least – power supplies! I was again very much surprised with that fact. But now it’s obvious that there is much difference between European and Asia market, and what’s more important – distributors. It seems that some distributors only sell products of Tier-1 manufactures. The small ones (and cheaper ones) have to manage on the European market by themselves!
