Patriot from CeBIT 2009

Patriot from CeBIT 2009

Now we come to one of the most famous manufacturers of high-quality memory modules, USB drives and lately SSD disks. It’s American company named Patriot.

I’ll start with the latest Warp3 series of SSD drives (in the meantime Patriot has already launched it and the product is available to the market at the beginning of April 2009). the read/write speed should be significantly improved over the Warp/Warp 2 series – so we can only wait and see the situation with some of the reviews that will show up soon.

You can also notice the 64 Gb upgrade solution for your netbook PC! With it’s capacity you can easily add it to your netbook, with speed of SSD drives! The module is really small and it’s dimensions and appearance look a lot like SO-DIMM memory module.

Now we come to the high-performance DDR3 modules from Patriot, with their quite large but airflow efficient passive RAM cooler. On the picture the displayed item is DDR3 2000Mhz memory modules.

Next up we have DDR3 series, Extreme performance workign at 1800 Mhz on 8-8-8-20 SPD’s at 1.9v. The cooler is quite ordinary for this type of series, and I’m sure it gets quite hot while working on 1.9v.

Next up we have some DDR2 modules. Working at 800 Mhz but capacity is 8Gb. So one stick of RAM is 4 Gb big – impressive to see that DDR2 modules have 4 Gb capacity. Cooler is similar to DDR3 Viper series, only that this one is in different color.

To conclude this report on RAM modules I haven’t mention it before but Patriot include lifetime warranty on their memory modules!

As I’ve seen from other manufacturers Patriot has also made memory cooler for it’s memory modules. It consists of two coolers rotating at 5000 RPM. When they are working their color is Arctic blue (you’ll see for yourself at ther end of this article).

People from Patriot have told me that they this cooler is working quietly, so I’m sure overclockers and other enthusiasts will find this product most interesting.

For the end here are the pictures of latest USB drives from Patriot. What I found most interesting is the fact that latest USB series named Magnum has 64 Gb capacity! Great job for Patriot I must say. Although it’s hard to notice on the photo, this drive is about 2-3 cm wider then the rest of the USB drives. But with 64 Gb capacity I think it’s easy to forget about it’s dimensions and to focus on a fact that it’s quite nice and handy backup drive which you can carry around everywhere – knowing that you have 64 Gb of free space to work with.

So for the end I leave you with one gaming configuration, powered by Patriot memory modules (I was unable to get it’s exact specifications). Thanks again to nice people from Patriot for having the time and to give me a product tour at their booth.
