Lian Li Pitstop PC-T60A Open Air Test Bench Review

Admin Chassis 3104

The rear quarter on the CPU side is especially accessible, and looks pretty cool too. With the CPU hole cut out of the motherboard tray, you are not going to need a lot of extra space to change the CPU cooler, though you’ll probably need to remove the handle for better top access. The CPU power cable is also very accessible, instead of being at the top of the chassis in a gap too small for you hand!

PC-T60A

There are some holes you can cable manage with, and with the double standoff set up we will be securing some cabling between the motherboard and the tray. The CPU rear cut out also comes in handy for some cable management too.

Overall, it’s a good match for our requirements, and a good-looking chassis at the same time. If it was your main system, a couple of careful colour choice would make this a really visually attractive set up.

Conclusion

We are in this business because we like geeky PC systems, CPU, graphics cards, memory and other components. That means it’s hard for Hardwareslave not to like the Lian Li Pitstop PC-T60A Test Bench. For us, the Lian Li Pitstop PC-T60A is like an electrical multimeter, you clunk it to the required setting on the dial and you test, it’s just the same for this chassis. Imagine the multimeter did not have your most used setting, or kept failing every time you used it, it wouldn’t last very long. Test benches are just the same, they shouldn’t interfere with the desired operation and the PC-T60A doesn’t. It should be easy to manage and aid your requirement, and the PC-T60A does.

We didn’t really like the instructions, the 2.5″ drive bay position and if we are really splitting hairs, some little self adhesive plastic hooks could have been included to aid some cable management. For us, we are happy for the PC-T60A to join the office party, and as a consumer product, if you are looking for a test bench, an open air system or even parts for a table PC system, it’s recommended.
