Scythe include an excellent Phillips head screwdriver these days, and it’s always welcome, we have a few now! The Scythe Mugen 5 can support two fans and the supporting clips are included.

Other than that, the usual accessories are included, mounting parts for Intel and AMD sockets, fan, thermal grease, and an installation manual.

The Scythe Mugen 5 ships with the Kaze Flex 120 PWM fan, and it’s a very nice fan too. The corners are completely isolated with rubber, making for little or no vibrations during operation. It operates in a range from 300 to 1.200 RPM. The self-contained liquid bearing (Sealed Precision FDB) reduces friction and wear to a minimum, which results in an average claimed lifespan of 120.000 hours.

It's no surprise that we like the Scythe Mugen 5 SCMG-5000 CPU Cooler, we like Scythe in general. The Mugen 5 is a very capable cooler, especially in overclocked conditions, and enthusiasts dream. It's also very quiet, and well put together. If you want to add more cooling, you can add a second fan and try for better overclocks. With that said, you can easily go the other way if you want some very quiet and good cooling.
