The NH-L9i is a low-profile quiet cooler designed for use in small form factor cases such as HTPC systems. There is the NH-L9a for AMD processors also, so this review will apply to AMD owners too. This design has a compact set of fins, and a 14mm thick 92mm fan moving all the air.

5th October 2016 2363 Like

We’ve got a few semi-dedicated test systems in the office and a dedicated test bench, the MicroCool Banchetto 101 chassis. So, we swap components a lot if we want to use the Banchetto 101 chassis for any sort of sustained testing.

Aerocool X-Predator II Full Tower Chassis Review

28th August 2016 1841 Like

The Aerocool X-Predator II is a large chassis, it’s also going to accommodate the E-ATX motherboards out there, such as the Asus Rampage Extreme V for example. We have an E-ATX motherboard, and we struggle to find a good chassis that will support an E-ATX motherboard comfortably.

Anidees AI7 Black Cube Chassis Review

27th June 2016 1373 Like

We reviewed the Anidees AI8 last week and it’s a stellar chassis, excellent for water cooling or anything else you want to put into an unobstructed internal space. Also, what looks to be a genuine principle of end-user feedback to help and evolve Anidees product range, means if you pick these guys up and become a brand fan, you may end up with some class leading products in the not too distant future.

You may have seen it all before, but if you haven’t, there are a lot of computer chassis out there, so which one do you pick? Firstly, you need to forget about your mates, or the flamers and trollers. For the latter groups, they are right about everything, so no matter what you do, it’s wrong. So where does this leave you? Asus Z170M Plus mATX Motherboard Review

20th January 2016 3451 Like

Asus are calling this their “Flagship micro-ATX Z170 with 5X Protection II for dependable stability, fantastic DDR4 performance, and reversible USB Type-C connectivity”. It’s a rather odd claim for this motherboard, Asus have flagship product lines, the Rampage and ROG series for example. Why would they call Z170M Plus motherboard a flagship?

Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Rev.B Chassis Review

4th November 2015 1642 Like

Nanoxia are a name you should know, and their Deep Silence chassis already has a following out there in modders land. With that said, it’s hard for a designer and manufacturer of system chassis and other cooling components to make a name for themselves in the shadow of the mainstream corporations.

Raijintek Aeneas mATX Cube Chassis Review

6th October 2015 1150 Like

We are big fans of the mITX form factor, and big fans of the full ATX form factor, but for all those who fancy something a little in between, what about a mATX cube chassis? There are a couple around and the double width internal areas making for interesting system configurations, you'd be a fool to overlook them. Raijintek are a familiar name to most and they have sent over their Aeneas mATX Cube Chassis for review. Good timing, as we are reviewing the EASUS z170M Plus Motherboard and that's an mATX form factor.

NZXT H440 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

We were looking around for a chassis for a gaming build we were thinking about and we figured we needed to think about the NZXT H440. We had picked this for a watercooling build but a change of mind pushed us down a different path on that one. So, we figured this would be perfect for the gaming build and something nice and high spec.

Aerocool Aero-1000 White Chassis Review

28th June 2015 1371 Like

There are probably as many chassis designs and manufacturers out there as mice, surfaces and keyboard, so you would be forgiven if you struggle from time to time when trying to pick a new one. gone are the days of tall or small beige boxes and their horrid green or brown motherboards making PC's as interesting as keyboards used to be and not much more appealing. Now, we have the opposite situation with manufacturers catching up with modders, who to be honest, created the modern fashions along with the overclockers.
