Huawei today announced the MediaPad X1, an Android powered tablet that boasts of being the lightest in its class. The 7.18mm slim device sports a large 5,000 mAh battery, 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 with LTE connectivity, 7-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS LCD panel and a 13 MP Sony Exmor R sensor at the rear. Even with all these goodies packed in, the MediaPad X1 weighs just 239g, and has a width of 103.9mm. Thanks to these very optimized dimensions, 80% of the tablet’s front is taken up by the display. The OS of choice is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
