Noctua NH-D15S CPU Cooler Review

20th August 2015 3044 Like

Continuing on from the Noctua NH-C14S review, we have another revision of another Noctua cooler. This time the flagship NH-D15 gets the treatment in the form of the NH-D15S. The Noctua NH-C14S is a really impressive cooler and a typical Noctua design, unusual but sublime in its execution. The NH-D15S is a little different than the NH-C14S with the only real change being only one fan is shipped. This should make it a little quieter and cheaper which should suit some buyers, so let’s find out.

In 2015 you need to be in the know about CPU coolers, there’s so many of them, you could get lost when choosing a good, compatible and cost effective product. Then add in the unsympathetic nature of the internet, and the trolling and flaming you will receive if you have not chosen the biggest and the best in line with all opinions!

NZXT Kraken X61 AIO CPU Cooler Review

If you are in the market for a top of the line cooler, you will need to consider AIO or All In One Coolers. Basically the middle ground between the mystery of watercooling and the predictable land of air cooling limitations. Unless you have a large chassis and can cope with a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 or the superb Noctua NH-D15 then you are going to be need to compromise in some way. Either in the way of overheating or increasing the decibels by pushing more air though the case.

Noctua NH-L9x65 low-profile CPU Cooler Review

27th May 2015 1448 Like

We have had a few Noctua coolers on the bench over the last year or so, but this low profile cooler has just been released and looks like it is making a name for itself. We have had this for a while now and have used it to test a mid range or maybe even a Server build, but certainly a set up that requires a low profile cooler.

Scythe Mugen MAX CPU Cooler Review

We have another cooler for review and today it is a bit special (at least for me!). On the bench today is the Scythe Mugen MAX CPU Cooler, and why is that important? Well, they are a name that has been around for a very long time, and before everyone got their act together, Scythe were ahead of the game.

Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler Review

11th March 2015 12033 Like

Noctua call this their flagship model, their premium product, meaning you cannot buy a better air cooling Noctua product. A lofty claim if it wasn't from Noctua themselves, but basing this on their D14 means they might just know what they are talking about. The D15 in two fan configuration is around £70 in the UK currently, which is a lot of money. It means the flagship model has a flagship price, so in a world of AIO Coolers and a vast air cooler market, this thing needs to be good. Being the claimed flagship of Noctua, it needs to be even better than that too!

Noctua NH-U9S CPU Cooler Review

You would have thought there was only a certain few ways to cool a CPU but apparently there is not. We have a second small form factor CPU cooler on test from them and we didn’t hold back. Just like the NH-D9L it is a 95mm fan which comes in a single fan configuration, with capability of a second fan if required.
