Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666Mhz 16Gb Memory Review

4th July 2016 2819 1

We have had DDR4 in the office for well over 12 months, but the first set we ever got our hands on was the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666Mhz 16Gb kit, and we have been bashing it into a lot of test systems ever since, so let’s see how Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory performs with this quick review.

Phanteks PH-TC12LS CPU Cooler Review

4th July 2016 7700 Like

Phanteks are probably more known for their PC chassis than for anything else, including their coolers. Phanteks have an extensive range of chassis and accessories for their chassis including a range of fans. The Phanteks Evolv is probably one of the most recognised chassis out there, and still gets a lot of coverage. If you look at the Phanteks site, they do have a range of CPU coolers, enough of them to get any system builder going.

Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 CPU Cooler Review

30th June 2016 4020 Like

We welcome back Scythe to the Hardwareslave office with the Grand Kama Cross 3, a cooler with a bit of a difference to it. We haven’t tested a Scythe product since the Scythe Mugen MAX CPU cooler review last year and we gave that a good score, 4.4 out of 5 to be exact. So we were happy to get another one on the test bench and give it a good going over.

Anidees AI7 Black Cube Chassis Review

27th June 2016 3363 Like

We reviewed the Anidees AI8 last week and it’s a stellar chassis, excellent for water cooling or anything else you want to put into an unobstructed internal space. Also, what looks to be a genuine principle of end-user feedback to help and evolve Anidees product range, means if you pick these guys up and become a brand fan, you may end up with some class leading products in the not too distant future.

Anidees AI8 Black Window Chassis Review

22nd June 2016 2753 Like

You may have seen it all before, but if you haven’t, there are a lot of computer chassis out there, so which one do you pick? Firstly, you need to forget about your mates, or the flamers and trollers. For the latter groups, they are right about everything, so no matter what you do, it’s wrong. So where does this leave you? Requirements, including budget and style preferences.

Cryorig M9i Intel CPU Cooler Review

20th June 2016 2505 Like

Following on from our Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler review, we have an even smaller and lower price CPU cooler from Cryorig. This is the Cryorig M9i CPU cooler, and the “i” means Intel. Cryorig do have an AMD version, the M9a but we will be focusing on the Intel version today. We like Cryorig gear, it’s very high performing and high quality. The Cryorig H7 left us impressed with the cost versus performance attributes of the H7 but the performance on its own was only on par with the competitors we pitched it against.

Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler Review

19th June 2016 3486 Like

Something a little more sane now than all the Nvidia GTX 1080 and AMD RX 480 noise and hype, and we genuinely mean little. We have tested a lot of flagship or large size CPU coolers but every so often we get a cooler that is designed and aimed for the low to mid-range of CPU’s and motherboards. This doesn’t mean a reduction in quality or performance, at least it shouldn’t, but a more focused and compatible cooler for the mid-range specialist that wants something a little special without breaking the bank.

Crucial MX300 Limited Edition 750Gb SSD Storage Review

14th June 2016 2085 1

Crucial have just released the latest in their MX range, the MX300. The MX300 uses Micron 3D NAND, which Crucial are calling the most advanced storage technology they’ve had in an SSD. Crucial also plan more to come later this year with the technology seen in the MX300 release, including additional capacities and form factors.

EVGA Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition Graphics Card Review

12th June 2016 8540 2

We are not sure the dust has settled around the latest Nvidia Pascal GPU architecture launch, not even the AMD's new R9 480 graphics card has managed to steal the stage entirely. We remember the original GeForce 256 which replaced the Riva TNT2 and basically started the graphics world you know today. It introduced phrases such as transform and lighting to gaming and advertisements. We loved the Riva TNT2 and Riva 128, Matrox, S3, the Voodoo 3DFX range, Rendition and giving Nvidia a run for its money over the past 17 years, ATI.

Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler Review

31st May 2016 2722 Like

Today we are looking at the Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler, a product that Reeven are calling the flagship Reeven CPU cooler. To the rest of the world it may be a pointer to their current design philosophy, technical know-how and where they see themselves in the market place. Internally, this is a big statement, Reeven are saying this is the CPU cooler that best reflects their approach in the face of the rest of the market place.

Nanoxia CoolForce 2 Chassis Review

15th May 2016 2791 Like

Today we have the Nanoxia CoolForce 2 chassis for review. We have already seen the Deep Silence 1 Rev.B chassis from Nanoxia and we recommended it, it’s a very high quality chassis. The CoolForce 2 is aimed at a similar audience, with a number of the Nanoxia design cue’s and features, it’s another enthusiast level chassis with the watercooler fan in mind.

Shuttle NC01U Series Nano Barebone PC Review

2nd May 2016 2168 Like

Shuttle is a very famous name in mini PC’s. They literally made the barebones market their own about 15 years ago. For a long time, small wasn’t beautiful, so for a long time Shuttle made barebones chassis with bespoke motherboards and PSU’s integrated into them. They were and still are excellent, but they had a market of their own, and only really played within their own market.

Zotac GTX 980 Ti AMP! Edition Graphics Card Review

1st May 2016 6340 Like

This will probably be our last GTX 980 Ti review before the next generation of cards from Nvidia are released. The speculation is they will be named the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 continuing the product naming convention Nvidia have been using for quite a while now. If you forget the GTX Titan cards, out of the budget of most the natural flagship card is the Ti, at least judging by the GTX 980 Ti range and its performance. The production run has now been stopped, and less than a year after it started.

Palit Super Jetstream GTX 980 Ti Graphics Card Review

16th April 2016 7223 1

Hardwareslave, like most of the older websites started out of the desire to make amazing rigs, better than anyone else, with the best components in chassis that looked amazing. Of course we are also pro gamers and will dominate everyone with our gaming rigs and our superior skills (cough cough).Ok, we can be owned online like the best of them, but we are part of that very same community that’s now a global empire, but some things never change, like why we do this in the first place and that’s components like a graphics card.

Aerocool Aero-800 Black Edition Chassis Review

2nd April 2016 4572 Like

We've previously reviewed the Aerocool Aero-1000 White Chassis and liked it. The Aero-1000 chassis got a solid 4.3/5.0 and was also recommended as a great all-rounder. The Aero-1000 is the high end PGS A Series chassis form Aerocool, with the Aero-800 in the middle and the Aero-500 starting the range off.
