Scythe Ninja 4 SCNJ-4000 CPU Cooler Review

Installation material for Intel and AMD Socket, thermal grease, a second pair of fan clips and installation manual are included. Scythe have been including a really nice Phillips head screwdriver in recent samples, this one is magnetized and comes in very handy.

We bent a few fins when we took it out of the packaging and they bent back easily. The heatsink has a very shiny top to it, looks amazing and is a bit of a dust magnet.

The heatsink is a very dominant shape and size, with a polished appearance and a lot of airspace between the fins. The GlideStream 120 PWM fan can be mounted on any side of the heatsink providing extra options for airflow management. Clips are included to mount a second fan if required.

We have no issues with the Scythe Ninja 4, it's a good traditional CPU cooler with some decent refinements. As with any test using default fan profiles and letting the hardware do the talking, you'll need to understand the Scythe Ninja 4 position in the charts is an "out of the box" view. We think the cooler has a lot of potential and we don't think it would take a lot of effort.
