Some good news for the packaging geeks out there, just like us! The box and contents are as modern as you would expect from Asus, with the main praise going to the usage of the spongy foam style support for the NAS itself. This is good stuff, it’s not going to store a lot of static electricity and it doesn’t easily break so always protects the product.
There isn’t much in the accessories box, though it’s all there and all you need to get you going, including a LAN cable. There is a UK plug and a plug for the rest of the world included, along with some thumb screws, disc, and a quick installation guide.
On the front, you will find a USB 3.0 and an IR Port. On the back, two more USB 3.0, power and reset buttons, a Gigabit LAN, a HDMI 1.4b and a security slot. Not to mention the 70mm YS Tech fan which helps move fresh air through the NAS.
