Reeven Euros Cooling Fan Series Review

9th July 2016 1601 Like

There are a lot of components that make up a PC system, some of them are an obvious choice, Graphics cards, CPU etc., and some are not, for example, aftermarket cooling fans. Either for your chassis or if you want to add to your CPU cooler, cooling fans can be a bit of a mystery despite having only one simple task, to move air.

Phanteks PH-TC14S CPU Cooler Review

5th July 2016 3265 Like

We reviewed the Phanteks PH-TC12LS CPU Cooler and liked it. It has some good qualities at a good price and will give the owners of small form factor systems another good option for cooling their CPUs. We also received the Phanteks PH-TC14S CPU Cooler at the same time and have reviewed them pretty much back to back.

Phanteks PH-TC12LS CPU Cooler Review

4th July 2016 7656 Like

Phanteks are probably more known for their PC chassis than for anything else, including their coolers. Phanteks have an extensive range of chassis and accessories for their chassis including a range of fans. The Phanteks Evolv is probably one of the most recognised chassis out there, and still gets a lot of coverage. If you look at the Phanteks site, they do have a range of CPU coolers, enough of them to get any system builder going.

Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 CPU Cooler Review

30th June 2016 3980 Like

We welcome back Scythe to the Hardwareslave office with the Grand Kama Cross 3, a cooler with a bit of a difference to it. We haven’t tested a Scythe product since the Scythe Mugen MAX CPU cooler review last year and we gave that a good score, 4.4 out of 5 to be exact. So we were happy to get another one on the test bench and give it a good going over.

Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler Review

19th June 2016 3449 Like

Something a little more sane now than all the Nvidia GTX 1080 and AMD RX 480 noise and hype, and we genuinely mean little. We have tested a lot of flagship or large size CPU coolers but every so often we get a cooler that is designed and aimed for the low to mid-range of CPU’s and motherboards. This doesn’t mean a reduction in quality or performance, at least it shouldn’t, but a more focused and compatible cooler for the mid-range specialist that wants something a little special without breaking the bank.

Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler Review

31st May 2016 2687 Like

Today we are looking at the Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler, a product that Reeven are calling the flagship Reeven CPU cooler. To the rest of the world it may be a pointer to their current design philosophy, technical know-how and where they see themselves in the market place. Internally, this is a big statement, Reeven are saying this is the CPU cooler that best reflects their approach in the face of the rest of the market place.

Reeven Justice RC-1204 CPU Cooler Review

9th December 2015 1768 Like

We recently reviewed the Reeven Steropes RC-1206b, a low profile CPU cooler that surprised us with its cooling performance. The Steropes RC-1206b is a specialist cooler, lots of manufacturers have a low profile cooler, some do them well, like Reeven, and some do not.We are impressed, it’s a tough type of cooler configuration to crack. We have a second cooler from Reeven, the Justice RC-1204, more of a standard cooler and retaining Reeven’s yellow and black colour scheme.

Reeven Steropes RC-1206b CPU Cooler Review

29th November 2015 2204 1

Reeven is a newly established international manufacturer of PC related products. Their range includes CPU coolers, Cooling Fans, PC chassis amongst other things. They are aiming their products at the professional quality market, which is always a big claim for a newcomer. The Reeven Steropes RC-1206b isn't aimed at your Haswell-E mob, you would need a serious head check-up if you tried. Instead this is a low profile for the rest of the mainstream CPU range. This one may be of particular interest to the server and HTPC communities. It’s a low profile, large fan cooler, designed to get into small and square places without any complicated memory to deal with.

Cryorig H5 Ultimate CPU Cooler Review

21st November 2015 3490 Like

We reviewed the Cryorig R1 Ultimate CPU Cooler last month and really liked it. In fact, we gave it a Recommended award and 4.5 out of 5. It’s Cryorig’s flagship cooler, so it should have been good, and it is. Now we have a look at the Cryorig H5 Ultimate CPU Cooler, a slightly different type of cooler to the R1 but still boasting rich features such as Hive Fin, a Jet Fin and turbulence reduction system that we are assuming will help a lot!

Gelid Solutions Antarctica CPU Cooler Review

17th November 2015 2008 Like

The Gelid Antarctica CPU Cooler is from Gelid Solutions Gamer range of CPU coolers and is marketed as a tall aluminium heatsink with a silent fan. It’s compatible with all the mainstream and current CPU’s, including the LGA1151 CPU from Intel. You’ll need an adapter for the LGA2011-3 however. That aside, the CPU cooler market isn’t left wanting for a choice in cooler, and there are enough good coolers out there to pick a relatively good one.

Cryorig R1 Ultimate CPU Cooler Review

10th October 2015 3105 Like

Founded in 2013, Cryorig are a company you may not have heard of just yet, but they seem to be trying to make a big splash, as every new company would. A major difference seems to be that they have actually been around, or in the making since the early 2000’s, a little like ourselves.

Scythe Mugen MAX CPU Cooler Review

25th May 2015 2563 Like

We have another cooler for review and today it is a bit special (at least for me!). On the bench today is the Scythe Mugen MAX CPU Cooler, and why is that important? Well, they are a name that has been around for a very long time, and before everyone got their act together, Scythe were ahead of the game.

Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler Review

11th March 2015 12117 Like

Noctua call this their flagship model, their premium product, meaning you cannot buy a better air cooling Noctua product. A lofty claim if it wasn't from Noctua themselves, but basing this on their D14 means they might just know what they are talking about. The D15 in two fan configuration is around £70 in the UK currently, which is a lot of money. It means the flagship model has a flagship price, so in a world of AIO Coolers and a vast air cooler market, this thing needs to be good. Being the claimed flagship of Noctua, it needs to be even better than that too!
